Brigham and Women's Hospital offers a comprehensive Skeletal Health and Osteoporosis Center within its Department of Medicine. Directed by osteoporosis specialists, this program provides:
- Consultation services for diagnosis and treatment
- Bone density measurement
- Research programs studying new therapies for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis
- Rehabilitation and nutrition consultation services
- An Exercise for Osteoporosis Program, run by exercise physiologists
- Special osteoporosis-related referrals provided through the hospital's world-renowned orthopedics, gynecology, radiology, rheumatology and internal medicine services
