Women's Neurology Program
Autumn Klein, MD, PhD Director
Our focus is on sex differences in medical evaluation, diagnosis, implementation of treatment, and care. We consider how hormonal and reproductive changes throughout a woman’s lifespan, including pregnancy and menopause, as well as use of oral contraceptives and assisted reproduction, impact neurological health and disease. We have established this program to raise awareness of issues specific to women with neurological disease, to build a clinical resource and referral base for patients and other physicians, and to build research collaborations looking at sex differences in neurological disease.
