Consider whether or not the hospital:

• is highly rated by patients (patient satisfaction scores).
• is rated highly by state or nationally recognized third-party organizations (process and outcome measures).
• has experience with your particular condition (procedure volumes).
• reviews and continuously improves its own quality of care.
• is one where your doctor has practicing privileges, if that is important to you.
• is accredited by the Joint Commission.
