Allies in Care: Comprehensive, Integrated Services
The Ophthalmology Service for BWH provides a complete resource for all disorders of the eye. Our services include routine eye care as well as comprehensive evaluation and treatment of complex and systemic disorders such as diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataract, and retinal detachment. As of July 2009, our team has been providing outstanding care for patients admitted to the BWH emergency department and has staffed the inpatient consultation service at BWH. In caring for our patients, we strive to create working partnerships with them, their referring physicians, and with the colleagues who join us in providing their care. We understand and value the role of each member of the patient care team.
