Overview
Stuart G. Silverman, M.D., Director, Abdominal Imaging and Intervention
|
Welcome to the BWH Radiology's Division of Abdominal Imaging and Intervention. We are comprised of a group of radiologists subspecializing in diseases of the gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) systems.
Imaging procedures of the abdomen and pelvis include radiography, GI and GU fluoroscopy (such as barium enema and voiding cystourethrography), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The Cross-sectional Interventional Radiology (CSIR) Service performs percutaneous procedures such as tissue biopsy, fluid aspiration, catheter drainage, and tumor ablation guided by ultrasound, CT, and MRI.
The Division is actively involved in the research of disorders of the gastrointestinal and genitourinary tracts, as well as CT, MRI, and interventional radiology techniques.
Inquiries regarding Medical Records should be directed to the Health Information Services department. For Radiology films or CD's, call the Imaging Service Center at 617-732-7180.
