Center for Congenital Anomalies of the Reproductive Tract

The International Center for Congenital Anomalies of the Reproductive Tract has a multidisciplinary focus with the mission to provide excellent and accurate diagnostic and therapeutic management of birth defects affecting the reproductive organs of girls, adolescents, and adult women.

The Center functions for medical, surgical, obstetrical and psychosocial consultation and care of women with congenital or acquired structural abnormalities of the reproductive tract. The services involved in care include: gynecology, radiology, nursing, social work services, fertility specialists, and maternal fetal medicine [high risk obstetrics].

An initial consultation is arranged with Dr. Marc R. Laufer who is a world recognized specialist in the area of congenital anomalies of the reproductive tract. Dr. Laufer is the Chief of Gynecology at Children’s Hospital Boston and a fertility specialist and gynecologic surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Laufer is recognized as a specialist health care provider for women with vaginal agenesis by MRKH.org and is a member of the medical advisory board of the Intersex Society of North America. Over the past 20 years Dr. Laufer has cared for hundreds of girls, adolescent and adult women from around the world with varied structural abnormalities of the reproductive tract. After initial consultation with Dr. Laufer a treatment plan will be formulated and appropriate appointments with the other indicated specialists will be arranged.
