The Echocardiography Laboratory at BWH is a key facility for diagnosing a variety of cardiovascular disorders. Ultrasound and Doppler techniques can provide hemodynamic information about myocardial, valvular and pericardial heart disease.
The Echocardiography Laboratory is located in the Shapiro Cardiovascular Center on the 3rd Floor, Watkins Clinic, Suite C. The laboratory is open from 7am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Routine inpatient studies are performed on Saturday.
Emergency echocardiography services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by contacting the cardiology fellow on-call.
